2010 Shanghai International Marathon engages the city and royally screws up traffic

The annual 2010 Toray Cup Shanghai International Marathon is back this Sunday, Dec. 5, but like almost all good events in the city, it means traffic problems for all those who aren?t doing the 26-mile course. The race starts at Century Plaza on Nanjing Dong Lu at 7:30 a.m. and ends at Shanghai Oriental Sports Center near the World Expo site in the Pudong New Area around 1 p.m. The course covers both sides of the river for the first time in its 14 year history.read more
